A long wait
My daughter has had a 'warn & toasty' for several years and I have always marveled at its ability - a little confusing with the buttons etc. Last time I visited her I decided to purchase one. Not an easy task. Tried all the local stores that would likly sell this to no avail. Finally went to Amazon and found it, ordered it, received it and have not stopped using it since. At least once, if not more a day.
Multi function cooking appliance at its best
This microwave/toaster/grill is fantastic. The controls take a bit getting used to, but with a little studying of the manual and using the cheat sheet provided, this appliance really cooks. The compact size is great for cooking most average sized items, and the toast feature works surprisingly well. I recommend this to any homeowner looking for compact size and these functions. Its hard to believe Sharp can put out such a great unit at this low price.
Horrible microwave, horrible customer service. Beware.
This is the first time that I've written a review but I decided to do so because I want to warn as many of you to stay away from this product and if possible from Sharp's products. I recently bought the microwave, after having used another one for more than 12 years. I never had a problem with my other one- it heated well, it always did its job. Fast forward, I bought this one from Macy's and used it for about 8 months. The door failed to close or open properly at about month 6. But I figured, things like this happen and it was no big deal. Then my daughter was making popcorn one evening, and it burst into fire. I was obviously terrified as something like this has never happened to us before. I called Sharp to get some assistance. The first time I called, the customer service rep that I was suppose to talk to wasn't available. They promised to call me back. They never did. I called for 2 straight weeks, talked to lots of people and yet no one could tell me definitively whether I should take it back to be fixed or just buy a new one. I guess this is part of their customer service tactics. I decided after calling way too many times, that I simply would throw the towel in. I did. I told them how terribly disappointed I was with their service and their product. I'm an incredibly loyal customer- the kind- that quite frankly every manufacturer wants. But, I can tell you this much, I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER SHARP PRODUCT AGAIN. If you purchase any of their microwaves, please know that they may burst into fire and you may get the run around from their customer service. They don't care about their customers and the integrity of their products. Thank God for choice and I chose to never buy from them again. I also intend to tell my friends and family about this to save them the headache.
